Dr. Kimberly Parker
Dr. Kimberly Parker was born and raised in Birmingham, AL where she graduated from Ramsay High School with an Advanced High School diploma in 2003. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Alabama in 2007 with a double major in Biology and History. In 2013 she graduated with honors from Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry where she was inducted into the Omicron Omicron Chapter of Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society (OKU) earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.). In 2014 Dr. Parker completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency program from Lutheran Medical Center. During this 12 month program, Dr. Parker received training on and regularly used nitrous oxide and oxygen, oral and intravenous sedation techniques. She also worked with medically and dentally complex patients and received advanced training in implant placement, oral surgery, advanced grafting techniques, implant prosthodontics, CAD/CAM restorative technologies, as well as adult and pediatric preventative dentistry. Dr. Parker has placed over 100 implants.
Dr. Parker is a member of many professional dental organizations such as the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and American Association of Women Dentist. She is also passionate about providing free dental services to veterans and underserved patients. Dr. Parker volunteers in her free time at a clinic that serves individuals who are in recovery programs, faced with homelessness, or have limited opportunities for dental care.
Dr. Parker has been married to her husband, Dwight for 5 years. They have two daughters ages 1 and 3. Dr. Parker loves to spend her weekends with her family.
Yvette is a hometown girl. She went to Tuscaloosa Academy and West End Christain. Yvette moved to Dallas Texas and graduated from Berkner High School. She then moved home to attend Troy State, where she majored in Elementary Education. While at Troy she obtained her AA degree in General Studies. She then realized that Dentistry was her calling, so she transferred to the University of Florida School of Dentistry. While in Gator Country she obtained and graduated from the Certified and Expanded Duties Dental Program. Yvette has been married to her husband Brad, a Navy veteran, for 20 years and they have two children, Alexis 26 and Drew 22. Yvette volunteers her time to help our local veterans get the dental treatment they need with the Veterans Stand Down every year with the local VA. She enjoys Crocheting and hanging out with her 4 boxers, Mongo, Zula, Buster, and Rastus.
Christopher James - Hygienist
Christopher James was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Al. Where he graduated from Central High School with an advanced diploma in 2011. He completed his Dental Assisting classes at Lawson State in 2013. In May 2018 he completed his Dental Hygiene ADHP classes at UAB. Christopher has been married to his wife, La’keysha for 1 year and they have two children a boy (1 year old) and girl (six years old). In his his free time he loves doing things as a family.
